Watkins Glen International Goes Shopping: New York State's Only NASCAR Stop to Display at the Eastview Mall

Watkins Glen International will add to the holiday shopping experience at the Eastview Mall in Victor, NY December 2-9. The historic road course will host a display in the popular Starbucks court between Sears and Macy's. The Glen will welcome the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for the 23^rd straight year August 6-9, 2009, and continues to be the only venue to host NASCAR’s top series in New York State.

Fans looking for a break from their holiday shopping need to visit The Glen’s display this week at the Eastview Mall. The display will be located in the East end of the mall near the Starbucks court in between Sears and Macy’s. The display will be the site to get the most up-to-date information about The Glen, purchase tickets for this upcoming season and will feature a NASCAR Nationwide Series show car with the paint scheme of Kevin Harvick’s #33 Camping World car which was driven at The Glen during the 2008 Zippo 200. Access to the display will be available during mall hours Monday – Friday: 10:00AM – 10:00PM, Saturday 8:00AM – 10:00PM and Sunday 9:00AM – 6:00PM during the holiday season.

Eastview Mall is a super-regional shopping center located just off the New York State Thruway Exit 45. Shoppers can easily drive to the mall from the Buffalo, Syracuse and Finger Lakes areas. Fans can watch Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and all the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series make their only appearance in New York State when they return to The Glen, August 6-9, 2009.  Many of the NASCAR stars will join the up-and-coming drivers of the NASCAR Nationwide Series in the Zippo 200 on Saturday, August 8.  The top stars of NASCAR will then try to prevent Kyle Busch from defending his title in the Centurion Boats at The Glen on Sunday, August 9.  The weekend of racing action will get started on Friday, August 7 with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying and the Daytona Prototypes of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series in the Crown Royal 200.
